Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival at kerala


Welcome to Kerala!

Fly into Kannur and settle into your charming riverside resort. In the evening, gather for a detailed briefing on the adventure ahead — route overview, safety instructions, and a hands-on introduction to your floating cycle. Glide for the first time on calm waters and feel the unique sensation of pedaling across a river. Kannur — often called The Land of Looms and Lore” — is one of Kerala’s most culturally rich and scenic districts, located along the Malabar Coast in northern Kerala. Enjoy the beach and Ayurveda treatments at the resort.

Day 2:- Neeleshwar Hermitage to Ocean Hues Beach House (Cycle 67 km)


Your floating journey begins! Start from the Kartingode River, merging into the Tejaswini River — a serene stretch lined with palm trees and fishermen’s boats. Cycle through the labyrinth of Kavvai Kayal and Valiyaparamba backwaters, Kerala’s most unspoiled aquatic paradise. As you approach the coast, follow the Perumba River to the Arabian Sea, where your floating cycle glides beside golden beaches and fishing hamlets.

Day 3:- Ocean Hues Beach House to The Raviz Kadavu (Drive 52 km / Cycle 52 km)


After breakfast, transfer to Akalapuza Boating Point to begin cycling. Pedal along the quiet Akalapuza River, where egrets and kingfishers accompany you. Navigate through Muthambi to Korapuzha River, following the historic Canoly Canal, once built by the British for inland trade. Lunch at Puzhayoram Resort – approximately half way. Follow the Chaliyar River to the resort.
The day’s ride is tranquil and scenic, finishing at The Raviz Kadavu, an elegant riverside resort known for its classic Malabar architecture. Enjoy Ayurvedic therapies at the resort.

Day 4:- The Raviz Kadavu to La Reve The Beach Villa (25 km)


Post breakfast we start the day by following the Chaliyar River towards the sea. Close to the sea near Beypore beach we take the Puttekkad River and then turning

Day 5:- La Reve The Beach Villa to Bimal’s Casa De Papel (Cycling 74 km)


Today is a long but rewarding day as you follow the Chaliyar River and the Kanoli Canal — a green corridor through paddy fields and fishing settlements. Cross paths with the Kadalundi River, where dolphins are sometimes spotted. Enjoy a hearty Kerala lunch at Food Way, then continue through quiet canals to reach your homestay by the beach — Bimal’s Casa De Papel, known for its hospitality, bougainvillea gardens, and heritage architecture.

Day 6:- Bimal’s Casa De Papel to Cranganor History Café (Cycling 72 km)


A day of canal crossings and history. Follow the Canoli Canal to Chettuva Lake, winding through mangroves and fishing nets shimmering in the sun. We take the Karvuannur river to lead into the Enamavu lake. Continue on the Karvuannur river till Muriyad – Moorkanal Canal leading to Kanoli Canal finally catching up with Periyar River. Our night halt is on the Periyar River.

Day 7:- Cranganor History Café to Brunton Boatyard (Cycling 35 km)


Follow the Periyar River, Kerala’s lifeline. Your final approach is via the scenic Kollam–Kottapuram Waterway, leading you right into the heart of Cochin.
Stay at the Brunton Boatyard, a former shipyard in British times, this historical plot of land that once housed a famous boatyard now has another landmark, the Brunton Boatyard.

Day 8:- Brunton Boatyard to Gokulam Grand Resort & Spa ( Cycling 52 km)

Return to your floating cycles and follow the Cochin Backwaters, passing houseboats and water lilies. Glide across the Kaithapuzha Lake and into the vast Vembanad Lake, Kerala’s largest. Enjoy a relaxed day soaking in the rhythm of life on the water — fishermen casting nets, children waving from banks, and coconut palms mirrored in the still water.

Day 9:- Gokulam Grand Resort to Coir Village Lake Resort Alleppey (50 km)

Continue on Pallana Aaru, and through Kayamkulam Kayal to the TS Channel. As the landscape grows wilder, the canals narrow into lush, tree-lined corridors before opening into the grand Ashtamudi Lake, known for its eight branching arms. Your stay at The Leela Ashtamudi offers refined comfort with sunset views over the lake.

A shorter but spectacular final day. Follow the Kollam Canal to Paravur Lake, then pedal through Maniyam Kulam Canal and Edava Nadayara Kayal to reach the sea. The final stretch hugs the coast — turquoise waters on one side, red cliffs on the other — leading you to Varkala, Kerala’s cliff-top beach paradise.
